If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors
to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.

Once upon a time: The Shed

I want to share a story of a sweet little shed.  A huge thank you to Susan at Between Naps On The Porch for allowing us to join her Metamorphosis Monday.

Once there was a Little Old Shed that sat waaaaaaaaaay back behind the little old cottage.

It must have been a sweet little thing, way back then, but it was added on to and sided with that ugly old aluminum stuff.

New Owners decided it was way too small and they needed a really big garage, so they staked it out and  poor Little Shed knew it was in trouble.

After Great Big Garage was built, the owners thought they might be able to save Sweet Little Shed if they could just tear off that ugly siding and the lean-to addition.

But Poor Little Shed was doomed....It seemed her legs were old and weak.

And down she went.

Going....

Going.....

Gone!

And that was the end of the Sweet Little Shed.

The next day, builders came with hammers and wood and started to build a new shed, because Great Big Garage was not big enough to hold all of New Owner's toys.

Up and up she went.

with a new blue roof to match Big Garage.

and gray siding so New Little Shed would fit right in with Great Big Garage.

HE owned one side...

and SHE owned the other side.

And there Sweet New Shed sat through the long cold winter.

                                                                  To be continued...............

Thanks for stopping by.  I'd love to hear what you think and take a guess at what this might become in the next episode.

Now be sure to check out all of the other transformations on this Metamorphosis Monday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.

OK... I love this. It's a bit freaky because I was just thinking this morning how much I would love a litle "playhouse" of my very own. Love yours.

Admittedly, I got a little ping in the heart when it first feel to the ground... I like old things... but the new one so definitely makes up for it!

Thanks for stopping by words on wheels the other day, too!

Hello! Thank you for stopping by and becoming a new follower! I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I felt a little twinge when Sweet Little Shed went down, but the new one looks great! Cannot wait to see what you do with the new shed.

Great! I think it will become s studio for you..love the painting on the door!
We have a similar garage with matching shed. When we built this house, the shed had to be moved to the other side of the property. As it was only a few years old, the crane moved it. Same color as yours too! But not so romantic..the layn mower etc lives there!
Can't wait for the next episode..as the shed evolves..

What a nice new shed, and the painting on the door is sweet. Looking at your photos, I know my toddler would have been super excited to see the old shed ripped down. Thanks for stopping by to comment on my photo magnets!

That is the cutest thing!! I wish ours was that large! We are bursting at the seams and hubby really wants studio space, so maybe another one?? Or just add on to the house. Love your photos of the process!

Love your sweet new shed! And I wish I could've had the wood from the sweet old shed. I'm thinking it would've made a great farm table....and I have those on my brain lately *winks* Vanna
